The Kilometre Collective

The Bia brand is all about ‘the power of I’: finding your inner strength that you know lives in you. Digging deep, backing yourself and believing that you CAN get through things in life, and on a bike.
When a group comes together to support each other to achieve their goals, there is a collective power that comes to the fore in knowing that you have the support of the wider collective in ‘the power of us’.

During lockdown, the growth in indoor cycling was unprecedented and created communities in ways we didn’t think were possible. We got together, in our own homes, pain caves, garages, spare rooms and lounges: all on our own, but together.

The Kilometre Collective serves to celebrate the togetherness that we have, by merging our real-life and virtual communities.

Land’s End to John O’Groats, using National Cycle Network routes is approximately 1913km. The aim is to cover this distance, indoors, in 24 hours. Lee Goodwin, the owner of Velolife, was going to ride 24 hours straight, however, is now not well enough to do that. So, as a Bia Collective community, we aim to ‘collect’ km’s, to try and reach this goal, riding relay hours on two KICKR BIKES. We will be riding on ‘Real Roads’ on the virtual cycling platform Wahoo RGT, which is available as part of the Wahoo X subscription.

On the 27th of January at 12 noon, we ride.
24 hours.
To ride as far as we can.
Together.
As a collective.

Why should YOU get involved?
Join the collective, help us reach the goal, either by riding an hour slot on a KICKR BIKE, or by ‘caring’. You can care physically at The Bia Hub during the challenge, or you can donate to one of our three chosen charities.
